Wine and climbing

So, let's get started!!!!

This past Saturday, Nick and I went to Boordy winery for some dinner, wonderful wine, and big band music. We've been there in the winter before but we had no idea how big of an event this was!!! We got there right when the music started and the place was already packed! So we set up camp, spread out our blanket on the hill and went straight for the catered food tent. We each choose an amazing blackend salmon with butter rice and then headed over to the wine barn were we bought a bottle of their Pinot Noir (our favorite). After our little picnic we played a game of scrabble (I won) on our travel board and watched the sunset in the vineyard all with a live band playing in the backgound. We plan on returning in 2 weeks and becoming regulars! It was so much fun!!!

On Sunday we went climbing with some people I work with. We went to Rocks State Park and had just a beautiful day for being outside. Being newer to the area, Nick and I are always looking for new places to check out and we both enjoy outdoor climbing.

Nick always seems to be so graceful...

and here I am trying to haul my butt up the rock.

Here's the crew!!! Rocky and Josh...

And our fearless leader, John.

It was helpful having someone who is from Maryland and who has had years of experience climbing in the area.
