This past week was a hard one. We had to say 'See ya later' to daddy....Nick left for his deployment Friday. We went to Detroit the night before and stayed in a hotel because Nick's flight left so early the next morning. We were pleasantly surprised to find a hot tub in the room! We ordered room service and a big bottle of wine. Unfortunately Brenna wanted every last bit of her daddy's attention while she could get it and stayed up fussing until after 10. After that WE were exhausted and left half the bottle of wine and an untouched hot tub. On the up side, we've never heard Brenna 'talk' so much. She must have had a lot to tell her daddy before he left!

Brenna got to celebrate her first Easter! She sure looked cute and springy in her Easter dress. It's funny, she's so expressive, always trying out new faces...that is until I try to take a picture :)
She's starting to really stretch in the morning, like arms above her head and legs straight out...I can't seem to catch a picture of it yet, but it's so cute!! She's definitely starting to recognize people other than Nick and myself. She's giving out huge smiles when she sees her grandmas and grandpas. Every once in a while, if her smile is big enough, her tongue sticks out and she wrinkles her nose. I love it!! Nick claims he heard her laugh for the first time...and he may have been right, I thought I heard a little laugh last night. She's also started to blow little bubbles and the drooling is about 2 days old....she is just starting to explore things with her mouth...Jessica Wright was her first taste test. She slimed her whole left arm, from shoulder to elbow! Apparently Jess tasted great! Brenna's also getting to know her hands a little bit and will slurp on them with about half her fist in her mouth.
She looks so enthused to be sitting with her Easter bunny.
