Early Summer

Getting into the summer fun with some Popsicles! Jace isn't thrilled with cold things, but enjoyed it and Brenna had no problem eating before it made too much of a mess :)

They love the pool and Nick has been amazing by taking them out in it nearly every night. They love splashing around. Brenna even figured out how to swim a little by using little ducky floats (they are actually glass holders, but whatever). They both know to shut their mouth underwater. I'm glad they enjoy it so much and are comfortable in the water.

Brenna is such a little helper and likes to be a 'mommy' to Jace. Mostly she likes to boss him around, but she does it in a mommy voice, which (thankfully) is soft and kinda. She'll help him up on the bench and take off his shoes and socks for him.

Daddy had a few nights on his own while I had some long clinical days. Obviously the kids loved those daddy nights :)

They recently opened a new children's museum here so, we went to check it out.
Most of the exhibits were a little old for Brenna and Jace to really enjoy, but we did find somethings that were a big hit.
They had a little grocery store where they could push around miniature carts and pick out foods and produce. They could even check it out on a little register. They were only really interested in picking up fruit and veggies.

Of course the cars were a big hit. They had a little car with the doors and passenger seat removed so kids could get in and push buttons, turn the wheels and explore the tires.

Jace loves cars, so he would have stayed here all day!

There was a little trolley car they could climb in.

There was a construction 'site' with a top loader that they could get in and push buttons. Jace wasn't nearly as impressed as I thought he would be, but you better believe that when he saw the little trucks, he was NOT putting them down!

It was fun and we will be going back, but it was soooo busy. I'm glad I didn't decide to take them by myself because we would have had to leave. It was definitely a place where you need 1:1 supervision for the little kids. However, now that we know the age appropriate play areas, it'll streamline our next visit. It'll be fun to show it to the Mimis and the Papas!
