Jacey Man's 10 months!

Jace is 10 months old and he feels like a toddler!  He is walking around the house now and his favorite places to visit are Bella's cage for food and water and Brenna's bathroom to play with her little toilet.  Disgusting.  He also love looking out the window to see what is going on outside.

He is still a really good eater and prefers to feed himself.  Except for a bottle.  I can get him to take most of a sippy cup full of formula, but only if I hold it.  Otherwise he just gets mad and throws it.  He's had a few drinks of water and doesn't seem to mind it.  I'm so looking forward to being free from formula and hopefully bottles in the next couple months.  Fingers crossed!!

He is sooooo active.  Does not stay still, will not stay still.  Changing his diaper is near impossible and, at times, very messy.  He is a tough little guy and is pretty hard on toys and books.  He doesn't turn the book pages, he swats them.  He is very interested in if things will bounce and what noise they make when they hit each other.  He loves the phone and remote.  If they are in sight, they are his.

He's not putting at many things in his mouth anymore.  He just got his second top tooth, so we are up to 4 and I think 2 more top ones are getting close.  He hates it when I look in his mouth, though, so it's really hard to tell.
I'm not sure how much he weighs or how tall he is, but he is wearing some 18 month stuff and can barely squeeze into a size 4 shoe.

He is making more sounds and he is starting to repeat some  noises like 'dada.'  He waves 'hi' and loves to smile and crinkle up his little nose.  He likes to nuzzle his forehead into your face.  He's a pretty rough player and loves to throw himself back on to the couch or pillows.  He has no fear of climbing and just keeps putting his foot higher and pushing himself up on whatever is nearby.

Jace pre 10 months

Jace finally decided to go for it and take his first steps!  He's so stable standing that we knew it would happen soon and that he would be very good at it.  He does a great job at stabilizing his wobbly legs and has taken up to 7 steps.  He took 3 in a row within an hour of his first step!

Technically his second step....

Jace is soooo curious about everything and is solely focused on getting whatever he has his eye set on!

Of course all this activity leads to exhaustion.  Sweet baby exhaustion.  It is just the sweetest thing when you're just hanging out with him and then.....the head nod.

After an exhausting game of 'wheels on the bus' little man couldn't take anymore fun!

Our friend Paco was just talking....and out he went!
