more 2 months

Here are two more pictures of my handsome man. 

 

He's very alert and loves to have his cheeks and nose touched.  He coos and smiles, kicks his legs and swings his arms.  It's so fun to watch! 

Nick is having a lot of fun watching him change.  He didn't get to see even these little changes with Brenna.

Look at those eyes....they're looking pretty blue to me!

Pumpkin patch

We spent a wonderful day at the pumpkin patch, the weather was perfect and there was lots of space to run and play.  It was over an hour away, so we were a little nervous about being stuck in the car that long with Brenna, but it was ok.

There was a measuring stick, so we tried to get a picture with both of them....Brenna just kept bumping Jace with her hip.  It was pretty funny.  She was happy holding his had....just for a minute!

When Nick did it, she ran right up and kissed him! 

Brenna got to sit on a donkey named Phinneus.   She liked petting him and even gave him a hug.  Not too sure about sitting on him, although she looks like a natural in the picture.

 

Brenna got a serenade by a musician who sang, played the guitar and harmonica.  She has a maraca but was pretty in awe of him and didn't end up playing it. 

 

 

2 months and the cryer

 

Yup, this has been Brenna for the last few weeks.  Anytime, anywhere.  In fact, she's screaming right now.  She starting to say more words and even appropriate with them.  She's also been very snugly, especially with Nick.  I keep telling him that she's a daddy's girl....  We got her a big girl potty, not that we're anywhere close to potty training, BUT I'm hoping that by introducing it and talking about it now that when she is more ready that it will be easier.  She's starting to tell us after she's poo'd.  It's a start. 

 

Jace just had his 2 month appointment and weighed in at 11lbs 15 ozs!  He was 22.87 inches tall.  Both were just a touch over the 50th%.  He seems so much bigger to me.  I think his hands are HUGE.  He's such a great baby and is starting to smile at us and coo.  He loves having his cheeks and nose touched.  He HATES a dirty diaper.  He fusses immediately after he goes.  Maybe we should start potty training him now.  He's very interested in batting at his toys that hang above him on his seats.  He's still pretty good at tummy time, although he hasn't been as into it lately.  When he does get down there, he can rotate himself by pushing his feet out.  I think he'll be an early crawler....Brenna and Bella better watch out!

I had some amazing pictures that my computer deleted all by itself.  It's done this once before, right off the card from my camera.  Not sure if it's the card or the computer, but dang.  Pretty upsetting to say the least.

We took Brenna to the shoe store with us. She thought she'd died and gone to heaven. Then she started to run and run and run. She was sweaty and exhausted by the time we were through. We didn't buy any shoes (I blame nick) but we sure dud have a tired little girl!

Here is one of her playing outside.  I just got a new phone so I'm not sure how to edit the videos yet, but am excited that it's so easy to put them on the blog...... Now as long as people can see them.....

Yea....I'm pretty proud of this picture.  Brenna laid down with Jace all on her own and was patting his head.  Thankfully I keep my camera nearby!

 

Jace still really enjoys his tummy time and often combines it with nap time.  He's such a little cutie :) 

 

 

Jace has started swinging his little fists at the animals and cooing at them!  It's so cute :)  He's blowing little spit bubbles and has wanted a little more attention lately.  He's been slightly more difficult to put down at night as he really wants some snuggle time (for about 2 hours) before he settles in for the night.  As long as I can still reach my glass of wine, no complaints here ;)

(as you can see, Brenna was not happy that Jace was getting his picture taken.  After being camera shy for a couple weeks now, she suddenly took an interest in getting some camera time.)

All I can think of are ghetto captions for this one (come at me bro!).  She's just so stinking cute!  She's still a gabber, still in baby talk BUT she has started to repeat and say more words (sheeeeeeeee, which means 'sit') and will say it to her dolls all day.  Also wawa for water.  I'm hoping that as she can express herself more that her screaming will decrease.  I don't think it can happen soon enough!
