Our baby girl has really growing and is getting close to sitting up on her own and crawling.  She is super smiley, loves to roll around, she has started to enjoy her Jenny-jump-up and is really exercising those legs!  She is so delicate with her little hands and loves to explore everything....and then puts it in her mouth!  She is eating 3 meals a day plus her bottles and other than peas, she will eat anything.  She loves applesauce!  She likes Eskimo kisses and her ribs are very ticklish!

swim lessons

Brenna participated in her first swim lessons...and she was a star!!  She floated on her back, went under water and met some new friends (all with a little help from mommy).  Only one day did she cry from floating on her back.  Otherwise, she enjoy (or tolerated) every other activity for nearly 2 weeks!

5months

And what a 5 months they've been!!! 

 Brenna is rolling all over now, both front and back.  This seems to have made tummy time much more enjoyable when she can control it :)  She has started with solid foods and really enjoys applesauce!  When she really likes something, she grabs the spoon and helps guide it in :) 

She is ticklish, especially on her ribs and her laugh is more of a grunt than a giggle.  She hasn't started crawling yet (thank goodness) but she can push herself forward and wiggle around quite a bit.  She's really grown a lot this past month, 2lbs and about an inch and a half!  This puts her pretty close to the 50th percentile for both height and weight.  perfect!! 

She can't wait until her daddy gets home so she can show him all her new tricks!

21 weeks

What a week it's been.....Brenna had a lot of firsts this past week: rolling over (which she is now an expert at), her first (and second) tooth, and eating sweet potatoes!

Brenna also had a repeat weight check at the Drs and she is 14 lbs 6 ozs and 25.5 inches long!!!  Both are right on track with the 50% for her age.  She looks like such a chub that it's hard to believe that she's ONLY in the 50%!  The Dr actually laughed when I told him how much she ate. 

Brenna had been practicing her partial roll for about a week when lo and behold one morning I walked in and there she was on her belly.  It's funny how she doesn't mind tummy time when she does it herself!  Nearly every nap she's on her belly and every morning I go in to find her rolled over.  She rolled nearly 4 ft one day to get to my dad.  Last night she dug her little feet in and gave push and moved forward....I am so NOT ready for this!

Brenna also had her first tooth break through.  She was such a good baby during this time, I couldn't believe it.  She drooled a little more the day it broke through and was a little more fussy but it was barely noticeable.  I'm so thankful I was able to distract her with toys and bottles!
