Round Barn Winery

We found an amazing winery/brewery/distillery in Berrion Springs this past weekend.  It was a beautiful day, great company, wonderful wine/beer/vodka and food!

Here is the round barn where the winery is located for the tastings.  Soooo good!!

They had live music and in the other barn was the beer and food.  It was all delicious!

Even Cindy had a good time!!

Brenna just couldn't contain herself and wanted to be sure she could see EVERYTHING!  Yes, she ate part of her bottle like this.

Can't wait to go back!

week 19 & 20

Brenna's had a lot of firsts these past few weeks.... Her first boat ride, which turned out to be her first rainy boat ride and then immediantly followed by her second, much dryer boat ride (thanks! Adam & Jess)

Brenna also joined the clean plate club this week.  We started her on rice cereal with a little banana here and there.  While she doesn't get it all the time, there has been atleast a couple spoonfuls of cereal in each feeding that she opens her mouth for and grabs my hand to shovel it in.  hehe.

Then we have the rolling over!  I went in to get her up one morning and lo and behold she had done it.  Nick and I both thought she'd be SCREAMING when this happend but she was just babbling away.  Not happy but not not real upset.  She has not repeated this yet.

Brenna's also become quit the water bug.  She gets in the water with me no problem and even splashes around a little bit.  I can feel her little body get so excited when we are first getting in, taking deep breaths and smiles!

Ofcourse all this fun and exciting new stuff leads to one exhausted baby!

 I love the sweet little smiles that she gives while she's sleeping.  Wonder what she's dreaming of??

Father's Day

the Pool

Brenna's first day in the pool!  Blair came down from kalamazoo for the day and we had a girls day at the pool.  It was Brenna's first time in the water and I was excited to have Blair there to film it!  The water was nice and warm so Brenna didn't fuss at all!  She was so good and got into the water up to her neck!  She even splashed around a little bit.  It's gonna be such a fun summer :)

 After it was all over, Brenna was happy to get into a nice sun warmed towel.  She even slept for about an hour afterwards :)  What a cutie!!

Kitchen floors

This past week, we placed vinyl tile in our kitchen.  Started off with some nasty carpet and ended up with a beautiful floor!

First tile laid!!!  James tried to steal if from me...but I got the honor :)

After that, James, my dad and myself installed the tile for the rest of the day.

They were so easy to install and look great.  I would definitely recommend these and will use them again!

toy box for Brenna

I decided to make Brenna a toy box out of one of the many diaper boxes she has.  Once I figured out how I was going to do it, it came together in no time!

17 weeks

Oh what a week...Brenna is all about her toes.  The second she is on her back, that is all she wants.  She hasn't gotten to her mouth yet, but her socks just started making it there yesterday.  She loves to look around at things and is happiest in her front carrier facing out.  Her little head just whips side to side looking at everything.  Brenna's favorite thing that will captivate her for nearly an hour is to watch the leaves blowing in the breeze.  She loves to be outside and feel the breeze.  I think we have a little nature lover on our hands!

Brenna just turned 4 months this week...and while I've been having her sit in her  high chair at the table with me when I eat, she doesn't seem to be overly interested in my food yet.  She watches closely but doesn't want to participate yet.  If she only knew what she was missing...

Brenna likes playing in her exersaucer, but only for short amounts of time. She's still a little small for it.  She hasn't shown any attempts to roll over yet, but I wonder if I just hold her too much.  One thing is for sure, this little girl knows what she wants and how to get it.  Screaming.  I try real hard to respond calmly and go through the usual three things...is she hungry, is she dry and is she tired.  But this child has zero patience. 

She's just getting so big!!  We have a Drs appt at the end of the week so it will be fun to see how much she weighs and how long she is!
